Why
"Pomo" Timmy?
|
| Pomo
Timmy is a commentary on the book of 1 Timothy that interprets a first
century letter from Paul to Timothy for the present generation in North
America. "Pomo" is a shortened version of the word "Postmodern"
- a provocative term frequently used to describe the culture of the current
era. Pomo Timmy was written in the hope that Christians will navigate
the troubling waters of science and relativism in the 21st century. |

Michael Ferber is
a Christian Pastor and Professional Human Geographer who is deeply concerned
about the moral compass in North America. Currently Michael serves as
the Interim Director of Youth Ministries of the First United Methodist
Church of Clarksburg, WV and works part-time as an Adjunct Professor of
Geography at Regent University. In July, he will begin a new role as Professor
of Geography and Director of Environmental Studies at the King's University
College in Edmonton, Alberta. In the past Michael has served as the Marketing
and Development Director of World Vision Appalachia, Assistant Administrator
of Heritage Christian School, Associate Pastor of the Evangelical Congregational
Church of Clarksburg, WV and Pastor of the Bridgeport Free Methodist Church.
Michael received a Bachelor of Science in Geography from West Virginia
University in 1994, a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary
in 2001 and a Master of Arts in Education from West Virginia University
in 2003. He will finish his PhD in Geography this year.
